Starting this spring, Rib will be experimenting with small events designed to connect people with nature close to home.
We've named these events “NATUREFOLK,” embodying the idea of nature and companions. We hope they'll become relaxed gatherings where nature lovers and those who enjoy walking can come together without pressure.
In her posthumous work “Sense of Wonder,” the biologist Rachel Carson emphasized the importance of opening our senses to the breath of life around us, the subtle shifts in nature, and the mystery and beauty within. These are things we all felt as children, yet we can lose them as we grow older, caught up in the busyness and rapid changes of the world. We hope this becomes an opportunity for you to rediscover your own “Sense of Wonder.”
And we believe NATUREFOLK doesn't need to happen only in the great outdoors. You might walk beside a river flowing through the city streets you see every day. It would be wonderful to stroll leisurely while also picking up litter.
It might even become a place where you connect with people you wouldn't normally meet. While we can't promise anything, we plan to have some delicious coffee ready, so we hope everyone can relax together afterward. We're looking forward to the day we can meet you all.
